 On December 21, 2020, an interesting set of astronomic movement of planets in our solar system marked the first time since March 4, 1226 to have occured--creating the biblical Christmas Star.

The “Christmas Star,” as referred to by theologians, appeared in the southwest skies for approximately 45 minutes after sunset, and according to astronomers, it was visible where skies are clear to the citizens of the United States where the skies were clear.

While astronomers and other scientists had their telescopes trained on the skies that night, hobbyists were also to witness something that will not happen again in their lifetimes. 

This rare occurence which resembles the noted Christmas Star spoken about in biblical text, is the manifestation of Jupiter and Saturn aligning.  The instance of this alignment gives the appearance of a double planet with their largest moons aligning to produce a super bright luminance reflected for observation from earth.
